Cody is seen by many as a gateway to Yellowstone Park. Many others, less enthralled with the Park and its crowds, have found the recreational opportunities in the area to be among the best in the country. For the motorized, horse or human powered activity, the area provides something for everyone. Our problem is that sometimes it seems there is too much to do.
Do you like to fish, hunt, ride, climb, hike or ski? You can do any of these activities within minutes of town. For most recreation here, it takes longer to put your gear on than to get to your favorite spot. From downtown, we can literally be fly-fishing the Shoshone River in 10 minutes.
We have the best natural ice climbing in the lower 48. We believe the rock climbing, hiking, mountain biking and whitewater are tops as well. The trail systems and abundant public land afford the 4 wheeler, snowmobiler and motorcycle rider ample room to roam. And that doesn’t even begin to mention the tens of thousands of acres of public lands accessible on foot or horseback.
So, why build it in Cody?
Why wouldn’t you manufacture a product in a place where it’s used? Our testing facilities are right out our backdoor.
Access to markets may seem difficult “off the beaten path”. But with daily UPS/Fed Ex delivery and overnight shipping, it makes it feel as though we’re not that far away after all. With quality highways connecting to Interstate highways about an hour away overland freight is rarely an issue.
